New Feature: Live Scoreboard for Spectators
Netball Scorer Pro now has a live scoreboard — a full-screen, read-only display designed to be shown on a TV, monitor, or second device so spectators can follow the score without crowding around the scorer’s table.
How It Works
While you score a game in one browser tab, the scoreboard runs in a second tab. Every time you record a goal, start or pause the timer, or advance to the next quarter, the scoreboard updates instantly.
There is nothing to configure — no accounts, no pairing codes, no extra setup. Both tabs just need to be open in the same browser and they stay in sync automatically.
What the Scoreboard Shows
The display is deliberately simple and large enough to read from across a hall:
- Team names and live scores in large text
- Current quarter (or “Full Time” when the game ends)
- Countdown timer showing minutes and seconds remaining
It looks good whether it is on a widescreen TV, a tablet propped up on a table, or a phone held up for a small group.
How to Use It
- Open Netball Scorer Pro in your browser and start or resume a game
- Tap the Scoreboard button (available from the home screen or during a game)
- A new tab opens with the live scoreboard display
- Drag that tab to your TV, projector, or second screen
The scoreboard works in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari all support it.
One Thing to Note
The live scoreboard is available when using the app in your web browser. If you have installed the app to your home screen, the scoreboard button is hidden because installed apps cannot open new browser tabs. If you need the scoreboard, just open the app via its URL in your browser instead.
